US Department of Agriculture
The US Department of Agriculture’s Economic Research Service (ERS) is seeking an experienced mathematical statistician at GS-13, GS-14, or GS-15 level with expertise in statistical survey methodology (including survey design, sampling, and estimation) and in statistical modeling for its DC location. The incumbent will lead the methodological research focused on the USDA’s new study, The National Food Acquisition and Purchase Survey (FoodAPS). FoodAPS is the only comprehensive and consistent resource that brings together food, economics, nutrition, health, food assistance program participation, and environmental factors by integrating disparate survey, proprietary, administrative, and other Federal data and information. FoodAPS-1 was fielded in 2012. FoodAPS-2 field test is being developed and targeted for 2021. Come and lead the efforts to build new evidence to inform food policy making and program administration, research various aspects of the survey procedures, and publish in peer-reviewed journals and in ERS reports.
